Deryl Keese has
owned and operated Keese Realty (originally Keese & Powell Realty)
since 1970. As a native of the area, Deryl has long-term local
knowledge of the real estate market of Oconee County and the
surrounding area. Deryl was born and raised on a farm in the Oakway
Community, just outside of Seneca. Deryl graduated Clemson
University |
in 1967 and the Realtor Institute in 1970. In 1967,
Deryl married Carolyn Porter Keese of Pickens, SC. Deryl and Carolyn
have two children, Ami Edwards and Ryan, and one granddaughter,
Emma. The Keese Family is long-term members of St. Mark United
Methodist Church in Seneca.
Deryl has been a member of the Tri-County Board of Realtors since
1970 and served as President in 1991. As Broker-In-Charge, Deryl has
taken pride in keeping Keese Realty a non-franchise real estate firm
that specializes in building on personal relationships and long-term
business.
In addition to Keese Realty, Deryl also enjoys cattle farming. Keese
Hereford Farm is a purebred beef cattle operation with farms in
Richland and Oakway, SC. In addition to day-to-day operation of the
farm, Deryl has served the past two years on the South Carolina Beef
Board and is currently serving as President of the South Carolina
Hereford Association.

Ryan Keese is a
native of Oconee County, being born in 1975 in Seneca, SC. Ryan
graduated from Presbyterian College in 1998 with a degree in
Business Administration. Ryan was a four year letterman in football
at Presbyterian College and was awarded the Jacobs Blocking Trophy
in 1998. Upon graduation, Ryan went to work for Laureate
Capital in |
Greenville, SC. Laureate Capital is a full-service
commercial mortgage-banking firm. Ryan specialized in working with
developers and lending institutions to produce permanent financing
on commercial real estate. In 2001, Ryan moved to Missoula, MT where
he was an assistant manager in an outdoor store, Pipestone
Mountaineering, located in downtown Missoula.
In January 2003, Ryan joined his father, Deryl, at Keese Realty.
Ryan carries on the tradition at Keese Realty of providing long-term
knowledge of the vast real estate of Lake Keowee, Seneca, Walhalla,
Westminster and other surrounding areas.
In addition to Keese Realty, Ryan also assists on Keese Hereford
Farm, a purebred cattle operation. Ryan and his yellow lab, Cole,
live on the original family farm located in Oakway, SC. A lifelong
member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, Ryan stays involved with
Seneca Sertoma, Chamber of Commerce and other area organizations.
When Ryan isn’t assisting people with their real estate needs, he
can be often found outdoors enjoying the benefits of living in the
“Golden Corner” through kayaking, hiking and camping.
