| In our unique southeastern climate, Oconee County and Lake Keowee abound with several, already budding native plants. In the wooded areas, you find some great native plant species that will be early spring blooming…Blood Root, Wild Ginger, Red Maple and Woodland Violets. The more noticed, and usually more cultivated, are native species used as yard plants. Several homes will enjoy Yellow Bells, Daffodils, Hyacinths and Lenten Rose which bring in the beautiful colors of the southeastern Spring season. The native plants of our area have a beauty all there own and showcase what a special climate we have in and around Lake Keowee and the Blue Ridge Foothills. |
